We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Sales and Marketing Executive. The position holder will report to the Sales Manager and will be based in Nairobi.

 

Role Purpose

To look for sales and market our product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize the visibility of Company products ensuring they are well displayed at all impulse locations in the stores.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Uphold the coverage plan while achieving agreed sales targets and regardless of the obstacles.
  • Implement perfectly and immediately all consumer and trade promotions launched in his/her section
  • Manage and be responsible for the sales, their performance, schedules and sales achievements
  • Achieve sales targets within given period
  • Analyze sales tracking and report on potential markets
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Present and promote the company’s products in all areas of the country
  • Build distribution of all Company brands & SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) in all outlets He/she covers.
  • Maintain and create positive business and customer relations
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
 
Skills & Qualifications
    • Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or related field
    • Minimum 2-year experience in Sales.
    • Highly motivated with a proven track record in sales
    • Willing to take on target based challenges and handle intense competition.
    • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
    • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
    • Outstanding relationship management skills.
    • Basic knowledge in computers.

  • Play the role of the company gatekeeper by attending to all customers reaching the company through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp or walk-in.
  • Respond to customer queries within the set timelines.

  • Receive and process all customer orders within the set timelines.
  • Ensure that you have excellent knowledge of all products and services offered by the company.
  • Provide quotations on products & services offered by the company bearing in mind the stiff competition in the market.

  • Actively sell to all customers the benefits of using our products.

  • Open and maintain customer accounts
  • Maintain records on different categories of customers, from large contractors, small contractors, developers, hardware shops, foremen and fundis
  • Interact with customers as far as possible in order to understand and appreciate their needs and provide solutions.
  • Advise customers on application and installation of all products and offer installation services where necessary.
  • Provide customers with information on other relevant products to their projects which they may nit be aware
  • Build sustainable relationships of Trust through open and interactive communication
  • Generate sales leads from the customers handled
  • Ensure that all customers are offered exemplary and professional service & support
  • Ensure that all customer complaints & feedback are resolved by offering timely solutions.
  • Escalate complaints/feedback where necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records of all quotations, complaints and frequently asked questions
  • Implement the company credit policy and consult management where there are unique requests
  • Use the Product Application Schedule to provide extended credit on large projects
  • Meet the set sales targets on monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Use the current customer database to generate sales
  • Use the database of irregular customers and engage them for repeat purchases
  • Achieve at least 3 supply & fix jobs per quarter

Delivery of Customer Orders

  • Manage customer deliveries in accordance with the delivery policy but bearing in mind unique situation which require accommodation
  • Coordinating with the production team on ready orders and dispatching of orders within Nairobi and outside the city.
  • Ensure prior confirmation of delivery schedule and locations with customer

Qualifications/Education and skills

  • Diploma in Business Management, Journalism, Public Relations or Customer Service.
  • A diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in Customer service or being a receptionist.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written
  • Presentable and an outgoing personality
  • Administrative writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to multi-task and get things done to completion
  • A team player with a positive attitude and good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ambitious, hardworking and creative,
  • Results oriented
